LALSTOP Contans WG, Effective Biological Management Against Sclerotinia spp.

💡 LALEXPERT Webinar — Understanding and Achieving Long-Term Control of Sclerotinia

Sclerotinia remains one of the most challenging soilborne pathogens across vegetable and arable crop systems. With sclerotia capable of surviving in the soil for more than ten years, it represents a significant and persistent threat for growers and technical organizations alike. This LALEXPERT webinar offers an in-depth overview of the pathogen’s life cycle, key risk factors in the field, and the strategies available to sustainably reduce the soil inoculum.

The session will explore how sclerotia form, persist, and drive year-to-year reinfection; the different levers available to break this cycle—including microbial biocontrol with LALSTOP Contans WG; and the agronomic best practices that influence efficacy, such as application depth, soil moisture, timing, and crop context. Field observations collected over several years will illustrate how an integrated approach can be embedded within crop rotations to deliver consistent results.

Our Field Solutions experts will detail the mode of action and application guidelines, while AS Kouassi, Technical Manager at Unilet (France), will share insights from extensive trials conducted in processing vegetables. Jocef Svachoucek from Agroprotec (Czech Republic) will provide additional field experience on the use of LALSTOP Contans WG across various production systems.

A comprehensive, technical, and practice-oriented session designed to deepen understanding of Sclerotinia and support the development of effective, long-term, and sector-aligned management strategies.
